After all if a post is ranked low and this is clearly not fair I think we are all smart enough to look through that.
I believe such systems are inharent to forums in general and I believe also these options are there for a reason.
I'm affraid we can't completely eliminate the unwanted aspects of it.
Yes I agree, I wouldn't ask to remove rating but probably if it forces posting a reason with it, it may help.
