I haven't had cats before here and I am still learning but I can't understand why I stopped a partnership and had to wait ten days for it to dissolve and then another ten days when I bred the pair with different partners. One of the pair, the boy has started breeding again but the girl is still at zero and I can't understand why she hasn't started yet. They are both enabled, can anyone help please?

It sounds like what you did was turn breeding off in the cat's menu. There is a Break Free vitamin available (for free) in the store that can be used to break up a pair without resetting any of their stats/timers.

If you turned off breeding, look for the "pet food recovery" vitamin to get it back into breeding mode, otherwise you will have to wait 7 days after re-enabling breeding for the cat to be able to gain love again.

As Auricula mentioned, the Break Free vitamin can be picked up (for free), and that will end a partnership immediately without interrupting gaining love.
