Is there a way to set all kitties to automatically show profile?
Hi All,
I find it cumbersome to go into every cat and box and check the box. Is there some default setting somewhere where I can say show all pedigrees all the time?

If there isnt, can i suggest it?!

I haven't seen such a beast, but I like that suggestion. Maybe if it isn't too difficult to write up the coding, we might be seeing that option available. Big Grin

Short answer: "No"

Long answer: "No, but there should be. This has been requested before."

I believe the problem is (note I am no techie or scripter) that when too many requests come from one client by requesting to open all pedigrees at once there may be a concern that is considered an overload/ spam by Linden Labs.
Perhaps KC likes to avoid that risk, not sure.

Yes, it's throttled. No, it's not hard to work around the throttle.

RE: Is there a way to set all kitties to automatically show profile?
Please do post this idea as a wishlist item / request in the Suggestion Box part of the Forum. I think maybe we've asked for this before, but ... we're all still longing for it Smile KC often does implement the suggestions we make, especially if they are reasonable tech-wise, and if we want it badly enough.

There was some notion about "some people wanting to keep the kitty's provenance a secret." I can't quite imagine why, but maybe some people do. To me it seems better that all should be an open book, transparent, and that pedigree information shouldn't be hidden. Naming the breeder on each cat, instead of saying "someone else," would also be helpful -- especially for folks who sell their older cats. The "someone else" phrase apparently came into use because of ... well, some kind of desire for privacy in pedigrees? I have no idea how such privacy could be useful except maybe for shady deals.

Of course, there is still no Chateau Pink&White No.2, haha. Some of our wishes don't come true because the KittyCats team decides against them. Hope springs eternal?

How about a simple "from now on all kitties born to me will have this checked automatically" then i would only have to go back through the old ones!
