Hello Everyone!
We appreciate your input and feedback as always, and want to take this opportunity to reply to you again on this topic.
In the past we have replied several times regarding PermaPets™. An important post can be found here
http://kittycats.biz/forum/showthread.ph...92#pid3292 if you would like to read it.
The concept of turning a breedable into a pet was introduced to the breedable world by KittyCatS. It was not available before.
We've always thought our cats were "pets that could breed" and more than just a "breedable." Because of that reason, we wanted an option for those who were looking for pets. It is a way for those who want to enjoy our cats without feeding to do so knowing they are getting a great pet (most always bred by our community) AND enjoy service and updates for life for that pet. The option also served those breeders who at some point wanted to keep a special cat as a non-eating/non-breeding pet.
Our vision has not changed much since.
Since we started almost 3 years ago, other breedables have released similar products, sometimes at lower cost, others are higher. Some require "free food", some require other things for their feature to work.
We think, if you compare our whole set of products, we are confident you will also find things which are priced less with us.
Cost to us is only one part of a product. We try to offer much more than that, including functionality, quality, support, and other features many have come to enjoy, like online cattery and updates with no-cost added features.
However, we do understand you are always looking for the best price, and we think the price analogy between the current PermaPet™ product and food for cats is ok.
Our PermaPetS™ continue to receive the updates we make available, as we have shown in the past 2.5 years. As a comparison we would also like to refer to the recently released Firestorm cat. It was a no cost PermaPet™ Kitty, but it will not receive any updates for that reason, and is not transferable either.
We hope this post helps to understand this topic more. We again thank you for your support and enthusiasm about KittyCatS as well as being such a great part of this community.
Respectfully,
Your KittyCatS Team
