RE: RFL special bid war
Kay, you shouldn't have defend yourself! A lot of us work hard for our Kitties, but also contributing to a good cause definitely is worth commending.

That being said, I appreciate KittyCats on how they handled it, I take pride that KC was the only breedable not to offer some "rare" trait that would give a breeder an edge in a respected market. but RFL tells the breedables how they want to run their auction.

I commend KittyCats on the fact that it was only aesthetics being emphasized, but further more for contributing to such a wonderful and great cause!

And maybe your raffle suggestion would be best for KittyCats, since there would be a lot of people willing to pay for raffle tickets.

Aaaaah soooo ... Kay BigBuck is taking over ? I just knew it !!

( This scoop shall be deformed, embellished and repeated Tongue )

More seriously though, i do think it should be realised that people who work hard for their money and have a bit to spend in SL actually keep our market turning and are often very generous to others as well.
So absolutely NO reason why they should apologise or even feel at all guilty, especially when putting a lot of L$ into helping others, for a small reward comparatively which is the custom cat.
Those who whine about this, it's tiny minded and puerile.

Here is my suggestion to give everyone a chance. Why can you not set up a raffle process also. Let everyone buy a raffle ticket at a set price, so we can all have a chance to win a cat, and its not to who ever got the most money. it will generate donation you are seeking for a good cause, plus give your the community at whole a chance.

If you support this idea, please post or send a notecard to Kittycats asking for the same.

I love the Raffle Idea...or they could do both for that matter...Then at least we all could have a chance at one. And the people who can afford to bid on teh big ticket Auction item can. This way it's a win, win for everyoneBig Grin
