Sharing my latest find. I found out what my baroque dad is hiding and it looks to be recessive to the tawny. So from my pedigrees the tawny is between the silver and the snow.

Given accepted, earlier proof for Saga's charts that:
* Bengal - Silver is dominant to Balinese - Chocolate Lynx
the pedigree posted proves that:
* Bengal - Tawny is dominant to Bengal - Silver

Therefore, dominant to Bengal - Snow as well (if that's the Snow you're referring to) and cannot be "between" them.

I hope more people can help out on this subject because I love to know where the Bengal Tawny stands about compaired to other furs.
I know quite some Bengal Tawny's are around I'm especially interested what furs can hide the Tawny Smile

Thanks for the pointer. My fingers wasn't typing what my brain was telling. My correction is it's between Sorrel and Snow (Bengal, yes) I'm thinking it will fall in here somewhere:
Bengal Sorel
????
Bengal Silver

I don't have any Charcoal's to breed a tawny to, but I did breed to a Sorrel and got a Sorrel.

Oh great!
Was the Sorrel bred with the starter or a pure Tawny?

It was actually a siamese seal and the genesis kitty that led me to find out which collab88 parent hid the tawny.

RE: Any Idea the standing of the Bengal Tawny yet?
I got a tawny from breeding a baroque diamond with an Aby fawn...if that helps.

I put down my book, The Meaning of Zen, & see the cat smiling into her fur
as she delicately combs it with her rough pink tongue.
Cat, I would lend you this book to study but it appears you have already read it.
She looks up & gives me her full gaze.
Don't be ridiculous, she purrs, I wrote it.

RE: Any Idea the standing of the Bengal Tawny yet?
After going threw my pedigree I kinda kick myself for nuking all my old boxes. I have one sorrell from a starter with like no traits. lol One of those oh but someday I will open it to see if it hides anything. I have millions of aby b/s b snows, and balis. >.< I've been moving traits down from the snows so all my breeding plans revolved around recessive. Oh well I now have a reason to find a nice sorrell I do miss them most.

And I now have two reasons to get the sorrell. I just got a Foxie yesterday! woohoo! lol
