RE: Suggestion for cat care
Here are some workable approaches:

1) Create a private group, for you and your friend. Set your cats to that group. Have your friend put out food and/or milk set that group and set it to Group instead of My Cats. This works best on private land, also set to that group, so any boxes can appear. It works acceptably on non-group land if you are sure to segregate your cats to avoid box production while you're away.

2) Send your cats to the Cattery, load up on food, and handle pairing and box production using the web. This works great if you have a tablet or laptop, since you can usually find free wireless web access just about anywhere these days. The problem is knowing how long you'll be gone so you can load up on food and milk; although, if you have a pile of unneeded boxes, you can use them to get food and milk. If you only have an touch device, such as an iPhone or Android phone, it works, but can be a bit difficult since the web site does not play well with touch devices.

3) Transfer your cats to your friend. This, of course, won't work for non-transfer cats (Starters). It also depends upon your friend being honest enough to actually give them back when you return.

Of course, if you're only going away for a few days, it is probably best to simply set out enough food and/or milk to last. This is simple enough to calculate: 1 bowl + 1 cat = 30 days. So, if you're going away for 9 days and have 23 cats, set out 9 * 23 / 30 = 7 or more bowls and you'll be fine.

If you're going to be gone for a month or so, it may be more cost-effective to take your cats to inventory, and either wait out the week for them to get well, or purchase potions at the main store.

Finally, of course, if you're going to be gone a long time, maybe a couple months, certainly if over 3 months, it's best to simply menagerie everyone and start with fresh boxes when you return.
