Half- Off PermaPet 120 Please???

I gave up on the idea of being able to permapet my kitties, cause it's just too expensive. I ended up giving away my two Ambrosias to someone else so they could be enjoyed by someone, and I've sold and manageried too many that I would have loved to keep.
It's hard enough to keep up with kibble and milk bills to feed breeders let alone feed non breeders too. But I would love to be able to keep some and see them running around.
I've seen some of my old fave collectables running around at shops and sims and as silly as it sounds, I get a heart tug missing mine.
I've tried saving a few, but it's not the same when I pull them out and they're under a blanket.
There are other breedables that don't even charge for permapets, it's automatic. I'm not saying it should be free, but it would be really nice if it weren't so expensive.
I've been a good girl for a long time now. hehehe I haven't complained about anything, but this is something we've asked for a long time and never get an answer to.
Would it really hurt to cut the price of permapets?
