For the odds of a cat passing its recessive as a hidden, and for those odds to be higher as you go down the generations, you need to ensure that you never breed that cat's offspring to anything showing, or hiding, anything more recessive than the hidden. This is akin to saying the odds of tossing heads instead of tails go way up when you use a coin with both sides showing heads.
