RE: Pricing of kitties after the mother of all updates
Breeding will speed up a bit, but probably not twice as fast. If we were all randomly breeding (we're not but forget that) the mean increase in breeding speed would be 125% of previous speed. In actual fact, it will probably be a lot closer to 100% than that.
I didn't see any announcement of "2D Cat" for the low-prim mode on live cats. Charm just found it. It's a 2-prim, flat image of a live cat. That will certainly increase the number of cats we see at current markets .. assuming "2D" cats sell .. they may put off customers .. we'll have to wait and see. That increase in stock offered for sale could negatively impact prices, but I don't think it'll be all that much.
One thing which I find interesting about market discussions is the tendency to "project" ones own behavior, and the tendency to make false inferences. By that, I mean, for example, false syllogisms such as "I don't breed Red Tabby, therefore nobody wants Red Tabby" and "I saw a spam offering Seal Lynx last week for 250,000L$, and another this week offering one for 50L$, therefore prices have crashed".
