Ok I think this will help place the eye? Correct me if I'm wrong. Does this mean it is super dominant or that there is a less dominant hider on the dads side?

Grace, we would need to know what dad's hidden eye is, there will be a traited eye under his Gen Evergreen. The Desert Stone is from Zerlina, as dad's line is too old to carry it, but dad's hidden is also baby's hidden, which will give us a bottom range.

I'll try to address this piecemeal:

These two images seem to have various pedigrees cut and pasted - they aren't continuous lines - there are boxes where old cats should be? I'm very easily confused, and could be totally missing something, let me know! I'm assuming the boxes are examples of kittens in the line - in which case, we don't know what's hiding behind Danno's Odyssey Collision or behind the Odyssey Tapestry #1 from the box.
Also, we can't use the auction mat pedigrees for proofs for many reasons, one of which I see in this thread: First kitten "Shauntia" is renamed "Stoney D" in subsequent pedigrees - but that's not a problem here because on this original KittyCats pedigree we have the kitten's unique ID#, so we are certain it's the same cat.

Demasone hides Fairy Dust, the Faded Flower came from mom. We know that Desert Stone is dominant to Fairy Dust per the first posted pedigree. So yes, both parents passed their recessives here, as did the next pair.

Thank you for all this work Grace! We're so lucky to have the "hive mind" of this community to help drag information out of these often stubborn kitties! :-)

RE: NEW EYE DESERT STONE - Grace Winnfield - 12-15-2025 09:46 AM

Desert Stone is recessive to Brushed Steel according to this recent breeding. This should resolve any of the confusion above. I was working with pedigrees from other breeders. These are all in my line on the one side.
