Kittycats xmas exhibition has opened. - Kayla Woodrunner - 12-19-2017 03:33 AM It's that time of year again when we have the Kittycats xmas exhibition This time there doesn't seem to be public voting, just a judges panel but you should all come out and see it. Some really cool exhibits. Honestly this year I think there are some of the best xmas I've seen to date. There is also a big xmas tree in the middle with free gifts. And for the skaters, click on the ice lake and it will give animate your avatar to skate. Callie has made some cool trees and stuff so the sim has a fun retro whimsical vibe. KittyCatS @caLLiefornia Here are a few photos to get you started. Going clockwise from #16 == Winter and I are #16. We usually start our nights there (mostly to see if anyone is sitting in our exhibit -- we have one sit in there and so far everytime we go there there is usually a person there. We should have put a tiny sit there too but I didn't think of it until I saw a little fox sit on it. Next year!) next up is #17 by Lunda Darkthorn #18 is by Lyndsay (buttercupbabe078) "This is the Life": a cute vignette by the folks at Kittycats #19 is by ๖ۣۜֆσǀϮCɹƲℤ (solyyy) Sol Anyl Hers was animated so did a gyazo gif -- here's hoping it turned out ok. #20 is by Claudette Loire Tomorrow we'll do a few more. and for fun, if you do decide to join the carnage in my and Winter's, you will look something like this, lol: if you've taken pics of some of the exhibits, please do add them in the comments below. don't be shy. P.S. The firestorm snapshots came out bigger than I expected. Sorry folks. but to be fair, I'll do all the firestorm snapshots at the same size. The gyazo is smaller so any gifs will be that size. RE: Kittycats xmas exhibition has opened. - Maxwell Grantly - 12-19-2017 05:50 AM Professor Nibbler and his 'most amazing' mouse circus visits the KittyCatS Christmas sim. (The three watching cats aren't really that interested in the show; they only came to sample the culinary snacks that they are expecting to taste in the interval.) If you are interested, this cabin is themed upon a story that I have written, based on a true event from my personal childhood. When I was a very small child, I visited the travelling Easter fair on the marketplace at Great Yarmouth. (UK) As I walked about the fair, I was fascinated by one particular stall: a real mouse circus. I begged my parents to allow me entry so that I could peep within. What I discovered formed the basis of this free eBook. The creation in the stall at the KittyCatS sim forms a representation of what I was expecting to see but you'll have to read the story to discover what I actually found within the stall. Don't worry, however, the eBook is completely free to download so it won't cost you a single penny! Wonderland and the Door Into Summer - Fennet Resident - 12-19-2017 10:54 AM I took a zillion snapshots; it was difficult to choose just a few. Here are some of the sim, and a few more of my display, The Door Into Summer, in space #1. My display has a door you have to touch to open, and a story behind it. Touch the glass cactus dome to get the story and a gift. You can dance in the fountain; touch it and it will animate you. Marquis is a water baby like his mom. The lovebirds prefer to perch in the trees. Marquis loves his butterflies, and our desert summers are filled with life. There are cactus and orchids blooming around the fountain, and a spider hides among the flowers. If you touch her, or her web, you're in for a surprise. Merry Christmas to everyone. When you're feeling frosty and in need of the sun, come visit the summer hidden behind the door. ***** The Fox and the Penguins - Fennet Resident - 12-19-2017 10:46 PM I managed to get a picture of that fox that snuck into the Christmas present factory, Ivy. After he extricated himself from the carnage, the Fox went looking for a more fox friendly environment. At least he Thought it was safer, and he did like the cats, but the penguins kept shoving him around. He particularly enjoyed the heater. This display was one of my very favorites, especially when the beaded screen was up while the finishing touches were added. I was forced to cam in in order to see the tableau so I could take these photos. As difficult as that was, it made illusion of distance absolutely flawless. The sliding penguins are amazing, and I wanted badly to snap a shot of the baby as it slid into the foreground. I never managed to pull it off. That little sucker is fast! The big penguin, a real camera hog, was much easier to photograph. All of the displays are gorgeous, and I'll try to post more pictures as I have the time to edit them. I almost forgot to add. that last display with the penguins can be seen at space #6, and was designed for your enchantment by the incomparable 999ShadowCat999 Resident Happy Holidays! **** RE: Kittycats xmas exhibition has opened. - Kayla Woodrunner - 12-20-2017 12:48 AM Love the magic show, Maxwell!. Your adventures wandering on the sim are wonderful, Fennet! I'm glad you extricated yourself from the carnage! Carnage - Fennet Resident - 12-20-2017 01:52 AM Looks like the Fox isn't the only animal to get caught in the fray. I remember seeing a stuffed giraffe in there the other day, too. Love that display! RE: Kittycats xmas exhibition has opened. - Kayla Woodrunner - 12-22-2017 10:06 PM well with gyazo on the kc forum when you paste it into the image thingy, most of the time you have to add .png or .gif or it won't work. once you do that, they will usually work |
