I got the blue SL12B cat, and it's lovely.
I noticed that the cat has Hamlet's famous soliloquy written all over it.
Do the other colors have it too?

my question is... are they advertising this thing somewhere?
I keep running into cat fans that have no idea there is a KittyCatS SL birthday
sim up and running, or that there is a FREE cat available.
Oh and...SIT ON THE SHARKS HEAD!

No, you can't get another free kitten - KC knows everything, including whether you already got one!

But, yes, I've only seen it in the contest announcement and discussions here, and the announcements in the Addicts group which have been kind of confusing. The last one mentioned the free birthday hats that are now also available on "pirate island" but didn't have the LM. If you didn't know the theme for the KittyCatS SL12 Birthday SIM and decorating contest is "Pirates of the Caribbean", you might not know where they meant. And I think the theme was only officially specified to those of us competing.
Is there a notecard or announcement somewhere on the SIM for visitors regarding the theme and voting rules?

There has been notices for all
and was not confused.There is a SL12B KittyCats free, as gift in the KittyCatS SL12B Celebration SIM.
There is a BIG HUNT, runned from the official SL12B Organization, is kept in the SL12B Sim (and it's the slurl you've spoiled at first)
The theme of the contest was not Pirates Of Carribean. The KC sim have the Pirate set but the Pirate theme was not mandatory (also because the SL12B Theme is "Dreams")
And you can vote one time only for every decoration set you like, also all.

Glad that you are all knowing, but a lot of people have been confused about the hunt - where it is and what it is for - versus the free cat and the KittyCatS Birthday SIM, and some of them have asked me. I wasn't sure myself about how the hunt worked or if I wanted to bother with it, until one of the friends who asked me figured it. I also made sure that I gave the main landing point for that gift SIM, not the direct surl to anything.
Yes, technically the theme for the island is "Pirates of the Caribbean" and anything "cute" is also okay, but I think only contestants got that information.

well, i had just read the KC notices (and since when i'm offline everything go capped have to check each day when log in).
about the theme of SL12B is written in the SL12B site, and was not a "what a geek!" thing discover because each time i log in with firestorm there is a link that bring me there,
about the theme for the KC contest, as contestant too.., we did receive a notice in june 16th, but the theme is not mandatory
and the hunt has been annunced only two days ago, with a link to the SL12B site that explain all

When I first went to the SL12 Big Hunt tab on the SL12 celebrations website ( http://www.slcommunitycelebration.info/the-sl12big-hunt/ ), there wasn't any info in the main section of the page. Instead, I got an error that it wasn't found. I just had it happen again and had to reload the page before I saw anything, so maybe that's my browser/internet acting up. Personally, I had stopped when I didn't see any info there, until friends brought it back up.
