Breeding with a Starter - ZahKira Quinnell - 08-19-2014 06:43 PM I recently got this from a starter cat... http://gyazo.com/9e18012632dce3e4182ce8e45842c143 My question(s): Is this American short hair the only hidden fur? If I breed the American short hair could I possibly pull out an even more recessive fur? RE: Breeding with a Starter - Ivy Norsk - 08-19-2014 07:15 PM Each cat has one shown trait and (only) one hidden trait in each of the trait categories, so the starter's hidden fur is indeed American short hair tawny tabby. However the kitten is another matter because of the very well-traited daddy. So the kitten will be hiding Snowshoe Cream (or better, but it's most likely to be the snowshoe cream both because that fur is so recessive and newish and because both grandparents on the dad's side are ssCream).
