Love Shacks - Troubadoura Resident - 09-14-2013 05:56 PM I would appreciate any explanation about what is a love shack and how they work. RE: Love Shacks - Tad Carlucci - 09-14-2013 06:31 PM They are tables/shacks/stalls reserved for cats at 100% Love and ready-to-breed. Typically, you must have rented a stall elsewhere, and you're using your rented prims .. only putting them at the table instead of in your stall/shop. If the cat becomes not-ready, you will typically be asked to remove it from the table. The major things you'll want to watch for are: * Food is available. Owner/sim-wide in your shop can usually cover the table, too. * No accidental box production. This can be tricky. You'll want to set the range to the minimum and ensure the cat's Home is set on the table. (Note: this can cause food issue for non-sim-wide food). You'll want to be VERY careful that your 100% males and 100% females are HOMED OUT OF RANGE of each other. RE: Love Shacks - Tad Carlucci - 09-14-2013 11:36 PM If either partner is "in range" of the other, you'll get a box. Note that if ANY non-partnered male you own is "in range" of ANY non-partnered female you also own, you'll get a box and the cats will no longer be qualified for placement on the Love table. Note also a partnered cat isn't available to breed, and therefore generally does not qualify for placement on a Love table. In specific answer to your question: the range is set by you. it not only controls how far they'll wander, that is also the range they'll look for food and for mates. |
