RE: Forum Suggestion: Remove Ratings (Star Ratings) from Forum Threads - Aisling MacMoragh - 11-19-2012 11:01 PM I am in full support of removing this opportunity for people to be aggressive or hostile. I honestly don't look at ratings of articles, but I am sure there have been useful ones I have missed if people are doing this sort of action. If we have to keep this form of feedback, please make it to where it is signed so that people cannot make anonymous attacks. If someone has a legitimate reason for giving a low rating to a post they can be willing to defend it. RE: Forum Suggestion: Remove Ratings (Star Ratings) from Forum Threads - Kiana Lexenstar - 11-19-2012 11:07 PM I agree fully...I never really noticed the "rating" before until within one hour, several posts had drastically lost stars. However, if ratings were not anonymous, I bet no posts would be down rated. It saddens me that a system as simple and cute as these little stars are can be made ugly out of childish animosity. Yes I wish it is like marketplace review, you have to write something which should be the reason for rating and signed. Also I wish they remove the ability of rating your own threads. RE: Forum Suggestion: Remove Ratings (Star Ratings) from Forum Threads - Kayleigh McMillan - 11-20-2012 07:01 AM Yes, I agree! I have observed also this ratingsystem is frequently abused. RE: Forum Suggestion: Remove Ratings (Star Ratings) from Forum Threads - Easnadh Swansong - 11-24-2012 04:15 PM I never paid much attention to the ratings and always wondered why it was even present. If it is being abused, then it should be removed for sure. RE: Forum Suggestion: Remove Ratings (Star Ratings) from Forum Threads - Kayleigh McMillan - 11-24-2012 04:24 PM Sometimes I think what happend with our lovely community ![]() We can't go back in the days I realize that but it makes me sad also. Sometimes I sense a not so friendly admosphere in the chat as well as on the forums. I'm happy though this is not always the case because I believe we rock and I hope we continue to do so! RE: Forum Suggestion: Remove Ratings (Star Ratings) from Forum Threads - Deer Thistle - 01-05-2013 11:25 AM Necro-ing this topic as I don't know where else to express my gratitude: Thank you so much KittyCatS for listening to us and removing the star rating. The forum looks like the bright, positive place it's meant to be without any unwarranted thread downvoting by individuals hiding behind the anonymity of the rating. It really makes a world of difference to browse the forum and not see this, thank you for hearing us out!
