RE: New eye found: Magic Forest - Ivy Norsk - 10-30-2020 11:19 AM Thank you Pure! As with all the pedigrees above, the Lemon Cheetah Alita is key. We can see that she is the Magic Forest hider for the whole line. In the first pedigree, we can see Alita mated with a Gen-eyed cat. The offspring does not show Genesis, it shows the Magic Forest, so the Bali Cream's hidden must be hiding underneath the Magic Forest. The hidden is pulled with a recessive-eyed Galaxy Star cat: it's Strawberry Bellini. So Magic Forest can hide Strawberry Bellini and is dominant to it. In the second pedigree, again we have Alita the Magic Forest hider. Her mate Kohlvin shows Autumn Leaf and passes that on to the offspring. The Magic Forest Must hide underneath, ergo is recessive to it. RE: New eye found: Magic Forest - Fore Shadow - 11-19-2020 11:59 PM Magic Forest recessive to tapestry reef
RE: New eye found: Magic Forest - Arwen Swordthain - 11-20-2020 05:24 AM (11-19-2020 11:59 PM)Pure Starlight Wrote: Magic Forest recessive to tapestry reef Sorry Pure, the Tapestry Reef could also hide whatever the Magic Forest hides. You will need to pull the Magic Forest out from under the Tapestry Reef for this to be a final proof. I'd suggest using an eye recessive to Galaxy Star to check as it looks like that may be the Magic Forests hidden eye and could also hide. Good Luck. RE: New eye found: Magic Forest - Arwen Swordthain - 01-13-2021 03:59 AM Recessive to Tapestry Reef
RE: New eye found: Magic Forest - Coverboytoy Resident - 02-01-2021 04:40 PM Okay look at this LOL. I'm testing Magic Forest to Mint Julip. I'm almost there. ![]() I now decided to mate dad with a soul whisper eye, and if I pull a mint julip, then I know it is recessive to magic forest. However, I also have mom mating with a flower child byrds, and hope that might pull a magic forest. Hopefully I'll get good results. ![]()

RE: New eye found: Magic Forest - Ivy Norsk - 03-15-2021 02:22 PM Magic Forest is dominant to FlowerChild Byrds. This started out as a test of Magic Forest versus Ody Sublime. When I started this test I did not know what eye, Duvessa, the Magic Forest cat hid. MagicForest>FlowerChildByrdsSo here we see the FC Byrds coming out from under the Ody Sublime (pulled by Soul Whisper). Now we already know that Ody Sublime is dominant to the FlowerChild Byrds - that's not interesting. But you do have to ask, where did that FC Byrds come from? So you look over at Corvay's parents... and it is very tempting to to automatically say "well obviously Erling threw the Ody Sublime and the FC Byrds had to come out from under the Magic Forest. But because we do not Have a proof of Sublime versus Magic Forest, we can't make any assumptions. But we can see Erling's pedigree here: ErlingSublimePediSo we know the FCByrds didn't come from there. It had to have come from Duvessa, showing Magic Forest. Therefore, Magic Forest is dominant to FlowerChild Byrds. RE: New eye found: Magic Forest - Eleanor8 Resident - 04-29-2021 06:29 AM Magic Forest is recessive to Rainbow Prism. ![]()
RE: New eye found: Magic Forest - Ivy Norsk - 04-29-2021 09:30 AM Opening an Ody Sublime tester box I have. Unfortunately, it could also be hiding FC Byrds. |
