RE: Wow - Ivy Norsk - 03-19-2015 08:35 PM I live on the edge of a sim and I have put fairly thick Invisible prim (not mesh) walls along the sim boundary. It does help. RE: Wow - BellaDonna Starflare - 03-19-2015 08:49 PM Im in a premium house, could that make a difference? Either way I turned off walk for the time being. RE: Wow - Tad Carlucci - 03-20-2015 06:55 AM Turning off walk should eliminate the issue. Comments aboce mentioned the lost+found folder. Remember: folder synchronization can be slow. If you get a message like 'has been returned' or 'failed to rez' and can't find the cat in lost+found, don't pamic, yet. Usually simply re-logging is enough the synchronize the folders and, tada!, tthheerree''ss kitty! RE: Wow - Breehit Resident - 03-20-2015 11:55 AM I just keep mine on a 3 meter limit..but even so, they do fall through the floor and wander out into the woodpile RE: Wow - MsMagick Resident - 03-20-2015 01:25 PM I have a Linden home - the kind you get with a Premium account (my in-world cattery is at my girl's place). At my place, with furniture, I can only have 2-3 running around at a time anyway. If they are, I set them so their home is near the center of the room and their range is inside the parcel. They don't usually run outside on their own (although, see below), but if they stick their nose on someone else's parcel, they could get returned to you. - I have been sitting on my couch inside wearing/cuddling them and when I dropped them, they were outside and stuck between my hot tub (on the patio) and the exterior wall. - I also had my very first newborn get stuck inside the floor under the wall. I found her by seeing her stats, but had camera constraints on and couldn't get to her. One of the KC staff actually came out from the store to help me get her out. (I didn't know then that she would teleport home when she fell asleep, but then I wasn't even sure where her home was.) One friend of mine: Literally, the only things in his Linden house are the cats, their food and a 1 prim cat tree where they sleep. He hasn't told me of any issues beyond the usual one of running out of available prims/LI. That's where 2D mode and the cattery really come in handy. He rented a skybox first, and they kept going into the water there and then getting under the land, until he set up an invisible prim border... and then he had to make it higher when they followed him over it one day. :-) They WILL go anywhere that they can. :-) *FYI - KC recommends that retaining walls, platforms, etc. be at least .5 meters thick, with no places where they could squeeze through the seams. RE: Wow - BellaDonna Starflare - 03-20-2015 07:53 PM Thanks for your tips. Am I tripping or has food price lowered? When you have milk, do you still have to cuddle? When you have milk, do you still have to cuddle? You are tripping. When pigs fly over the moon, perhaps that will happen. Milk is an expensive substitute for cuddling/petting, and milk plus cuddling is a waste of milk. The two are not additive. However cuddling or petting is much faster to raise the happiness than putting down milk. Milk is a convenience when you don't have time or too many cats to cuddle or pet every day inworld, or you use the Cattery where you use milk to speed up the Love cycle. Don't even think about vitamins unless you are filthy rich and inpatient. |
