Hello KittyCatS! Community… new, old and everyone in between!

We are so excited to present this update to you all! We have some great new features we hope you will enjoy… one which we’ve wanted to do since very EARLY development!!!

With each update we aim to improve your experience with your KittyCatS! while tending to any little bugs or fleas which crept in since our last update

Containing a mixture of big and little things all tucked away in your “Handy Dandy Update Can” this update will be a fun one!

HIGHLIGHTS

KittyCatS! proudly presents – “One size does NOT fit all”

We are so excited to introduce some new sizes for you. In addition to our adorable teacups and toys we have 3 more sizes!!! These are random like teacup and toys.
All of them will come in their own special sized boxes

PETITE: The Petite is the size of about a 5 day old kitten. The fun cuddly size, not quite as big as a normal cat but so lovable and cuddly!!! One of our favorite sizes!

BIGGER DE BIG: Well.. what can we say about this one… it’s a cat bigger than the biggest normal cat we have now. Hefty, Robust… these cats know they rule the roost already and their size will prove it! You can pet and cuddle them like normal sizes.

MEGAPUSS: It’s a plane or is it a train, no it’s MegaPuss!!! This is the biggest of the new sizes AND has a very special feature included. Due to it’s large size it can not be held, cuddled or petted when full grown but a new feature will enable you to still enjoy the benefits of petting and cuddling as a happiness/love boost! We think you will really enjoy this new size Oh yeah… about that new feature… well… you will have to keep reading to find out!

KittyCatS! proudly presents – “Ride Em Cowboy!”

We are thrilled to introduce RIDING!!! YES, you heard it right from the Cat’s Mouth!!! If you get a “MegaPuss” cat, you will be able to right click it and ride it!!! BUT that is NOT all!!! You can also have a friend ride on the back WITH YOU!!!

The riding feature is unique as it actually follows terrain. Meaning, unlike most rideables out there, your cat won’t just move up a mountain at a horizontal position but will actually move up and down the terrain following the angles of the terrain itself! This makes for very realistic riding experience! You can also RUN by just simply clicking the forward arrow 2 times when starting!

So ride alone, take strolls for enjoyment, race with your friends, let a passenger hop on back with you, whatever you want!!! And if you have some time left… Check out what your cat does while you are sitting on it but not riding!

Oh did we tell you… TINIES CAN RIDE TOO!!! So we wish you luck in getting the new MegaPuss size! Note: we will also be expanding this feature in the future to add more fun things…

KittyCatS! proudly presents – “Family Tree”

This feature is an update to the pedigree system. For each cat you can enable a check mark on its pedigree page to make a pedigree link appear in the cats In World Info… A link gives access to a 30 minute pedigree session.

But… wait… there’s more! If the new link by the owner is enabled for one of the grandparents too for example, you can click the grandparent and enter that pedigree as well in just one handy session! Accessible pedigree cats are shown with a green tag.

This “in depth browsing” will add flexibility in sharing and will enable the owner to allow people to see into the pedigree and as far back as to even the starters!!! All cats need to be owned by the same person to accomplish that.

KittyCatS! proudly presents – “Magic Menagerie Bottle” – or… I WANT MY CAT BACK!

This new feature will allow for immediate retrieval of cats sent to the menagerie by accident or if you have second thoughts. The window for getting a cat back will be ONE WEEK from when it was sent.
We’ve created a special Magic Menagerie Bottle, which when used will bring back your cat from the Menagerie. We had to make sure to get the cat’s permission for this as they love it there so much.
The bottle is free and will be available at the KittyCatS store soon. When used it will deduct 50 K$ from your Kitty Dollars collected through the Menagerie.

But wait… what about cats sent there by mistake very long ago? We’ve thought about that too! We are working hard to restore all of that information. When completed, you will be able to get a very limited amount of ‘old’ menagerie cats during a short period of time. Details will be announced later… So stay tuned!

ADDITIONS
*2 new poses. One new stand and one new sit!!! So cute… look in the new and improved poses menu!!!
*Pose selected now shows in a checked box.
*Detailed Pedigree view pages now also shows the offspring’s mom or dad counterpart and allows you to sort them accordingly!
*We’ve added “emotes” so Your Cats will not only talk but also share thoughts and actions with you!
*Cats which are partnered to a cat which is in the Menagerie or is a Perma-Pet™ can be unpartnered now with the break up bottles.
*More flexibility in the placement of hats… We will update you later on this with some new items!
*Cat lets you know when they somehow throw the ball off a skybox.

CHANGES
*Easier Partnering: Comparable to vitamins, the partnering dialog will now select the closest cat for you automatically where possible! The old method can still be accessed through the “Other Cat” button.
*Petting Feather will now directly attach to those petting cats owned by others.
*Stats in Info are now all on one line to reduce the height somewhat and to make space for the new pedigree links.
*Second Menagerie confirmation message now also shows the cats name.

FIXES
*Cats will now leave the Scratch & Play posts as a “whole”.
*Cats will now behave normal when a Scratch & Play post is outside their range.
*Shades on box images will now show correctly.
*Playing fetch should work again under all conditions. The ball may however no longer always be deleted from your inventory as we had to provide a workaround for an SL bug here.
*Feathers and balls will now also work at places with a lot of temporary prims.
*Cats which are over 120 days old will stay single when a partner attempt is made.

HOW TO UPDATE
***********

In the coming 24 hours your cats will start to show an “UPDATE ME” tag.
As soon as they do, the UPDATE button will be available in your cats menu to obtain an updater.
As of that point, you have 3 weeks to update your cats.
Make sure you have at least 30 prims available when you run the updater.

For Perma-Pets we will make an updater available in the store coming week.

EASY AS 1,2,3 updating steps:

1. Click the “UPDATE” button in the menu of your cat and it will give you an updater.
2. Rez the Updater
3. Click the “can of Update” and watch it as it updates all your cats and boxes! The updater will give KittyCatS HUD owners a new HUD as well.

No need to move cats, re rez them, group them, travel to sandboxes, pull your hair, or anything! It’s REALLY that easy. yay!
All settings for your cat will be kept, including the group. Only if you had a cat or box for sale, you will have to put them for sale again…
